With the help of a magnetron, a high-frequency electromagnetic field (2.45 GHz) is generated, which converts the elements contained within the bulb body.
This plasma emits a highly efficient light which is 99.7% equivalent to the emission of the sun. Because there are no electrodes or filaments inside the bulb, the lifetime of a plasma bulb is nearly unlimited.
By using different element mixtures (inside the bulb), we can design the generated output light spectrum almost freely. In doing so we avoid the use of environmentally components such as mercury and rare earths.
This makes the technology an environmentally friendly alternative in situations demanding high quality and high-power light.

Transfer of the high frequency wave
The waves generated by the Magnetron are transferred through a waveguide into the resonator. This creates a strong electric field.
Inert gas discharge
The strong electric field causes the discharge of the inert gas. The heat that occurs inside the bulb makes the sulfur components vaporize.
